Declan Brady

Declan Brady 

Declan Brady is Vice President for Professionalism and Skills of the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS). He has more than twenty years experience working in the IT industry, and is currently CTO, and Distinguished Engineer with Fujitsu in Ireland.

Declan has previously worked with Ingres Corp (CA), Aldiscon and The Instruction Set (Hoskyns). He currently chairs the CEPIS Task Force on Professionalism which was established by the CEPIS Council in November 2007, to pursue the question of CEPIS’ response to the emergent Professionalism agenda.

Declan graduated in Computer Science from the Dublin Institute of Technology and obtained his Masters Degree in Computer Applications from Dublin City University. He is a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society and a Member of the British Computer Society. Declan is also Ireland's representative to the International Federation for Information Processing.
