
Kim Devooght is the Vice President Public Sector, for Cisco Systems Canada Limited, a role he assumed in November, 2009. He is based in Ottawa. In his role at Cisco, Kim is responsible for Cisco’s business direction in public sector nationally, which includes government, healthcare and education. Kim has extensive experience and an impressive track record of success in Canadian public sector. He has since 1996 been a senior executive with IBM Canada and most recently served as IBM’s vice-president of public sector, where he was responsible for the federal, provincial and major municipal government, healthcare and education markets. Kim was previously responsible for IBM Canada’s federal public sector and also served as the general manager for government service delivery. He also spent many years working with the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation in roles that included director of human resources and as an assistant deputy minister.Kim is an active community volunteer in Ottawa, and is currently the Chair of the OutCare Foundation that supports local community based health care, and is on the Board of Directors for the Snowsuit Fund that provides winter clothing for children. He also serves on the Boards of CANARIE , ITAC, and GTEC , and was recently the co-chair of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business. Kim holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from York University in Toronto and an honors Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Carleton University in Ottawa.
