In an article published in Australian IT, Anthony Wong, President of ACS, and incoming President of SEARCC, is quoted as saying “The ACS believes the push for global professionalism and standards is an important initiative that will protect businesses, governments, communities and individuals while creating recognition and opportunities for ICT professionals. We are all so reliant on ICT to conduct and manage the myriads of transactional, telecommunications and service offerings and leisure activities, including the delivery of critical infrastructural services such as water, electricity and transportation.
