IP3 and CEPIS agree to work together

Niko Schlamberger, Immediate Past President of CEPIS, and representatives from IP3, including Greg Lane IP3 Chair, and Roger Hart, IP3 CEO, met in Brisbane on Monday 20 September, 2010 to formulate a working relationship.

Amongst other things, the parties agreed that: IP3 and CEPIS are not in competition with each other, but are engaged in complementary activities and increased cooperation is desirable; IP3 will take steps to recognize EUCIP, possibly through its Trusted Source Policy, so that it can form part of an accredited certification program offered by all or any of CEPIS members; if CEPIS wishes, IP3 will assist in making EUCIP available in other jurisdictions.

CEPIS will identify one or two senior European industry leaders who would be willing to be nominated for the IP3 Global Industry Council (GIC).
